Dealer Support/Warranty

WARRANTY INFORMATION:

We stand behind our products and value our guest experience. We have an industry leading 6-month manufacturer’s warranty. For a period of 180 days from the date of purchase (receipt required), we will either repair or replace at no charge any Lucky product which is defective in materials or workmanship.

Lucky warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear, claimed defects, malfunctions or failures that result from abuse, neglect, improper assembly, improper maintenance, alteration, collision, corrosion, crash or misuse. Installation of components, parts, or accessories not originally intended for use with or compatible with Lucky Scooters and components will void any warranty offered by Lucky. 

The warranty will only apply to the original purchaser with proof of purchase. We will not warranty or replace any part that is not purchased from Lucky or an authorized dealer (Ex. Ebay or Craigslist).

Before Submitting a claim:

Before submitting a claim, please make sure that you have all of the required information listed below. 

  1. Proof of purchase that includes the customer's name, address and date of purchase
  2. A clear image of the warranty issue. Single or out of focus images will not be reviewed
  3. Brief description of the issue 
  4. Note: We do not accept any items back for warranty purposes that have been tampered with, or modified in any way. Examples include - but are not limited to cutting, grinding, drilling, machining, etc.

Wheel Warranties
1. Pictures showing both sides of the damaged wheel off the scooter. We need to be able to see both sides of the core of the wheel.  If the wheel is split please try to pull it apart to show damage.

Bar Warranties
1. Picture showing the complete scooter set up
2. Pictures showing both sides of the entire bar
3. Pictures showing the damaged area, with different angles of the issue. (If the damaged area goes around the bar, please include pictures showing all areas of the damage.

Deck Warranties
1. Picture showing the complete scooter set up
2. Picture showing the entire top of the deck
3. Picture showing the entire bottom of deck
4. Pictures showing the damaged area on the deck, with different angles of the issue.

Brake Warranties
1. Picture showing the complete scooter set up
2. Pictures showing both the top and bottom of the brake. 
3. Picture of the deck and wheels that the brake was used on.

Fork Warranties
1. Picture showing the complete scooter set up
2. Pictures showing the damaged fork in different angles or a short video that shows the issue all around the fork.

Submitting a claim:

To submit a claim enter required information below: 

 Lucky will replace your item with the same item.  If the same item is not available, Lucky has the right to replace with a similar item.  The warranty submission process can take up to 5 business days.

Note: Please DO NOT mail back the items before receiving a warranty approval email.  Items sent in without FIRST receiving an approval email will not be processed for warranty.

If approved:

If the item is approved for warranty you will receive an email with instructions on how to return the warrantied item. This email may contain a return shipping label.  Please include a copy of the warranty approval email in your return shipment. 

COVERAGE DETAILS:

Lucky Scooter – Wheels

Wheels are considered a “wear” part whose lifespan is determined by the condition of the ground being ridden as well as the level, style and frequency of riding which varies greatly from person to person.  Wheels modified in any way will not qualify for warranty; this includes but is not limited to painting or stripping, drilling or cutting, dying the urethane or intentionally tearing the urethane from the core.

NOT-COVERED: Chips, cracks and small abrasions on or around the riding surface of the urethane are considered normal wear and tear and ARE NOT COVERED under warranty. Flat-spots are caused by improper braking technique; chunking comes from riding on rough surfaces or by hitting sharp objects or curbs abruptly.  Neither flat spots or chunking are covered under warranty.

COVERED: All wheels carry a 180-day urethane warranty against dehubbing.  Dehubbing is when the urethane separates cleanly from the core leaving only exposed aluminum.  Wheels with urethane left on the core are not considered de-hubbed or a manufacturing defect.

Wheels are warranted by the individual wheel NOT by the pair, even if purchased as a pair. 

Lucky Scooter – Bars

180-day warranty from the date of purchase on defective materials or workmanship.  Bar modifications and/or alterations not performed by Lucky will void any warranty offered by Lucky. 

Lucky Scooter – Forks

180-day warranty from the date of purchase on defective materials or workmanship.  Star nuts are not manufactured by Lucky and do not qualify for a fork replacement. 

Lucky Scooter – Clamps & SCS

180-day warranty from the date of purchase on defective materials or workmanship. Stripping of the threads on the clamp is not covered under warranty.

Lucky Scooter – Decks

180-day warranty from the date of purchase on defective in materials or workmanship.  Excessive grinding on rough surfaces can compromise deck structure, therefore, voids any warranty offered by Lucky.

Not Covered

Damage caused by improper use and/or abuse

Altering the structure (i.e. drilling holes)

Scratches or grinding to the anodizing

Any modifications or alterations

Stripping and cross threading of any threads

Stripping or cross threading of the internal star nut

Scratches or grinding to the powder coating

Stripping or cross threading any clamps or SCS

Lucky Scooter – Apparel, Accessories, & Other Items

Apparel, accessories, or items not listed above for Lucky Scooters are not covered by a warranty.  If you have a specific issue or problem with a Lucky item that is not listed above, please contact us at info@luckyscoot.com

Returns and Exchanges

    • All sales of custom-assembled or custom sized parts are final - (such as custom built scooters, or custom cutting of bars to a specific size), gift cards sales are also final and cannot be refunded or exchanged. This includes, but is not limited to the following; Custom Scooter Builds, custom bar sizing, or any parts that require assembly. 

    • To be eligible for a return Only non-custom made unused items in brand new condition may be returned for refund or exchanged within 14 days of purchase. There can be up to a 15% restocking fee. Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable unless customer service has authorized an exception. Please email info@luckyscoot.com.
